MiS-Information Society was founded in 1979 after the group’s hardcore punk aspirations were subverted by evil Brits sporting the best in modern hair styles, and toting a new kind of instrument, the synthesizer. After years of following in the footsteps of bands like Depeche Mode and Flock of Seagulls, but never quite taking root, the band decided to change its formula. Since they were clearly incapable of making any of their own music, they chose to start stealing everyone else’s. And thus, MiS-Information Society was reborn as the ultimate 80’s tribute band. And, after years of toil and dedication to their craft, they now count themselves among the greatest 1980s musicians of the 2020s.
Finding a voice in their shared love for the decade's pop, rock, and new wave hits, MiS has gained a reputation for their electrifying live performances. From their early days performing in local bars and clubs, MiS quickly made a name for themselves as the go-to band for parties, weddings, and corporate events.
